Oh, THAT List!

The last time I went to Universal Studios was last year with my aunt, uncle, and cousins from the Philippines. I had another day for free, and went with John on Monday.

John bought an annual pass (something I need to do), and we enjoyed the day together at Universal Studios :D

Oh yeah, I got to hang out with Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!

Saturday afternoon, I went hiking with John in the Winding Way Trail of Malibu, CA.

I hiked through the woods of the canyon & climbed up the rocks to the very top.

See how beautiful the view is! You can see the ocean from there, and the mist from the waterfall would float up to your face.

This is John & I at the very top. He was my trail guide for the day :)

What did you do this weekend?

Saturday afternoon, I went hiking with John. He took me to the Winding Way Trail in Malibu, CA, where there is this waterfall:

I was playing with the water, but it looks like I’m basking in the power of the waterfall a little bit too much… 

The water was freezing, but once inside the cave, you could see a double rainbow from the reflection from the water. The sun had hit it perfectly! It was the best way to end the hike :)

I made dark chocolate ganache from scratch for my Nutella croissants :) It was awesome & super easy to make… & yummy!

I made about a dozen or so Nutella Swirl Cookies yesterday… They are delicious!

I gave half a dozen to Amy & Jared, and my other roomie & her boyfriend had a couple as well :)

If I bake for you, it is a sure sign that I care about you.

• Me: So, what do you do, Brett?
• Brett: Air conditioning...
• Me: Are you getting much business right now? I mean, with the weather & all?
• Brett: Actually, I am. A lot of people come in and ask me to twerk this or twinge that. So, it's an okay business. I do more of the distributing part than anything else, however. What do you do?
• Me: Oh, that's so interesting. Umm, I'm still a student. I go to Long Beach State... Do you go to school, too?
• Brett: I went to OCC :/
• Me: That's great! I know a lot of people that went there :)
• Brett: Yeah, I got my AA in Air Conditioning there. It was a 2-year program and I finished it, and now, that's what I do. Amanda (his girldfriend) goes to USC for nursing & all my other friends go there, but I don't see the point in spending so much money there...
• Me: I have a bunch of friends that go there, too, but yes, you're right. I read an article that most USC students have the most debt after graduating compared to other students.
• Brett: Yup, all my friends drive lame cars... Well, those that aren't going for medicine at least.
• Me: Awww all my friends drive those cars, too... Or don't have cars to drive right now haha
• Brett: I still like USC though...
• Me: Yup... hehe well, it was nice talking to you, Brett. I'm going to go on the tour of the apartment. It was a pleasure to meet you.
